Mission Statement "At Wapiti Lodge, our mission is to provide a seamlessly curated, self-service accommodation experience that marries the convenience of modern technology with the warmth of hospitality. With a commitment to guest autonomy, we strive to offer comfortable and secure stays, complemented by personalized amenities and thoughtful touches. Our dedicated team, though not physically present on-site at all times, is unwaveringly committed to ensuring each guest enjoys a memorable and stress-free retreat. By blending innovation, accessibility, and genuine care, we aim to create a haven where guests feel empowered and at home during their stay with us."

Wapiti Lodge, an integral part of the Durango charm since 1965,  it holds a special place in the community. The name 'Wapiti,' derived from the native Cree language, signifies 'elk.'

Nestled within a short stroll from historic downtown Durango, Wapiti Lodge is now proudly under new management, marking a transformative chapter. Under this new direction, we've undertaken a complete revitalization, preserving the cherished character of our past while introducing contemporary enhancements. The name 'Wapiti,' a meaningful and culturally significant term, remains a cornerstone of the Durango 160 Corridor. Our rooms have been meticulously updated, inch by inch, to seamlessly blend the charm of yesteryears with the modern comforts essential for an enjoyable stay in Durango.

Welcome to the refreshed Wapiti Lodge, where tradition meets modernity for an unforgettable experience.
